In the Paradise Plaza Shopping Center in Nuevo Vallarta and also in downtown Puerto Vallarta are shops that sell Sergio Bustamante sculptures and jewelry in bronze, gold and silver, many set with precious stones and often reflecting animal themes.
Each sculpture belongs to a limited edition and is created by hand, therefore unique. The Mexican government has even elected them for official gifts to state governors and to high personalities. Since the 1960's, Sergio Bustamente has been internationally recognized in the world of creative arts and crafts.
One of his most familiar sculptures is "Searching for Reason" on the corner of Corona and the Malecon. It is a very distinctive statue with pillow headed figures and a ladder which they are climbing, seemingly searching for an answer.
