Hotel Hacienda Flamingos in San Blas, a former Hacienda-style mansion built in 1883 belonged to Mr. Maximiliano Delius. During that time it also was an extension of the German consulate in Tepic and also housed a branch of Lloyd's of London, a British insurance market. In 1995, it was converted into a hotel. Family photos adorn the walls in the courtyard where there are numerous areas to relax and enjoy the garden scene.
"The origins of San Blas date back to the late seventeenth century, a time when the port was constructed as a shipyard and point of departure for the colonization expeditions of the Spanish Crown. In San Blas, the first maritime customs house on the Pacific was established, and the town became the most important of the region during the Colonial period."
