Conservatõrio De Las Rosas 1743 - Morelia

This building was part of the Dominican Convent of Santa Catalina de Siena in 1595. Later, in 1743, the building became the Colegio de Santa Rosa de Santa María. In the mid-twentieth century it served as the Escuela Superior de Música Sacra, now Conservatorio de las Rosas.
The historic school has an internationally known choir, the Chorus of the Singing Children of Morelia, founded by the Michoacán composer Muguel Bernal Jiménez. It also hosts a festival renowned both in Mexico and abroad: The Young Art Festival, in which primary, secondary, high school and undergraduate.
