"The Alameda José Trinidad Garcia de la Cardena is a park that was built in the early nineteenth century for the people of Zacatecas, and is surrounded by colonial streets. It was adorned with poplar, willow and mulberry trees to mark where the city ended. In 1835, two fountains were installed and in 1915 its central kiosk was put in place.
