The building that is now the Museo Zacatecano functioned as the Mint since 1810 and later, an English company office and then government offices. Since 2010, the building was converted into a museum and now displays more than 150 pieces of Huichol art, historical documents, coins and more. There is also a photographic series on the Huichol made in the 1940's by Juan Victor Arauz.
