We booked an event called "Rhythms of the Night" to celebrate New Years Eve. It was everything that we expected starting with an hour plus on a boat to their venue called Las Caletas. The entire area was lit by candles and torches and, as we left the boat, we saw costumed performers strategically placed along the way. We were led down winding pathways to one of the many eating areas where we enjoyed a buffet dinner, then made our way to the amphitheater for the performance. The performers wore elaborate, traditional costumes and the show was very acrobatic, similar to a Cirque de Soleil performance. Afterwards, we boarded the boat for our return trip to Puerto Vallarta and, just before midnight, were given New Year party hats and noise makers. At the stroke of midnight, several fireworks displays took place along the shoreline making it a very memorable event in every way.
